Vox stellarum
Premiered at the SEAMUS National Conference (2022).
Fixed media, written in 2020.
Vox stellarum (“voice of the stars”) is an acousmatic piece that uses two microsounds (<1 second in length) as its raw materials. Drawing partial inspiration from Philip K. Dick’s VALIS trilogy, this piece is one conception of what voices from the stars (gods? aliens?) might sound like if they telepathically communicated with us.
